We love this aircraft hookup wire as it is light, smooth, easy to run and meets aerospace standards.
Generally speaking, we rarely use under 18awg in aircraft builds, unless for specific low power runs. Remember that your total 'wire' length is DOUBLE the run in most cases. It is always better (from a point of view of heat and risks of fire) to be a 'size up' rather than a 'size down' - but try to get the RIGHT size!
