The Zenair STOL aircraft are able to fly remarkably slow.... and in some cases the airspeed reading gets a bit out of range.... For increased accuracy, Metal Seagulls have developed a simple 'ahead of wing' pitot system that also enables easy routing of the the pitot line DOWN the wing strut (making access and service easier than routing through the wing). This is an approved mod with the LAA and includes:
Shaped pitot tube
ABS mounting bracket (choice of colours)
Aluminium stabilising bracket with grommet
Rivets
Adaptor hose
Installation guide
As with all Metal Seagulls LAA approved mods, we will send you the relevant number upon photo proof to us of appropriate installation.
